USAID Pakistan JOBS Project has developed curricula across various disciplines for the purpose of providing standardized, high quality training materials for the use of educational institutions and the general public. These shared curricula serve as a shared knowledge base for educators, students, trainers and trainees across Pakistan. The long-term goal of this exercise is for members of the general public, especially educational and training institutes, to utilize the provided curricula for skill upgradation of workers and students. This will contribute towards the creation of a more robust and efficient workforce that fulfills the skill demands of employers in a competitive global economy. The USAID Pakistan JOBS Project partners include 21 entities, covering 11 sectors 9 districts. The created curricula for training covering areas as diverse as employability skills for women and college graduates, CNG worker skills, skills training for fishery workers, call center worker training, pharmaceutical sales training, and shop floor workers CNG Managers.
Additional sectors covered or being covered by the various curriculum development and training implementation partners include construction, engineering, hotel management, community development, financial services, construction, food manufacturing, stones industry, hand looms sector, cosmetic, packaging, as well as agriculture and livestock.
