Component 3: Integrated Work and Learning Program (IWLP) for Less-Educated Youth

Overview

Component Three builds on and expands existing multifaceted training/placement programs that target small groups of uneducated male and female youth by promoting an Integrated Work and Learning Program (IWLP) conducted widely by NGOs, CBOs and other partners. The program will be of appropriate duration corresponding to the particular skill requirements. Jobs Project will manage the process of expanding, adapting and replicating this model to young people aged 16-29 and women over the life of the project.

    3.1 Pilots supporting less-educated youth find employment, self-employement and/income gains
    3.2 Integrated Work and Learning Programs (IWLP)
    3.3 Capacity building of IWLP partnets/institutions targeting less-educared youth

Life of Project Expected Results

30,000 Pakistani youth (approximately 50% female) and women with less than secondary school diploma, complete the work/learning program. 70% of those trained will have found employment or be self-employed within 6 months of completing program.
